OK, another Mac oddity that's got me baffled.

Why does Pages or Numbers always ask me if I want to save any document that I've just opened? I've not changed anything, I've merely looked at and read the document!

If I click save and then open the document a second time it asks me yet again if I want to save the doc, so I click save again and it now tells me the doc' already exists and do I want to replace it?

What's more it often wants to save it in icloud with no other option to save elsewhere that I can see.

Does it do this with any doc or just a certain one?

I've opened several Pages and Numbers docs without it asking to save anything when closing.

Thanks.

I should add that I'm running windows via Parallels and this happens with any document from the windows side, so this may be due to some weird crossover problem.

However, before I installed Windows/Parallels I recall the same thing happened when I played with Pages in OS X.

I don't think there is anything amiss, as it sort of makes sense what it asks, but seems over complicated for no reason.
