:mad: Yes I did a search but always was answers for a similar wording problem... not mine. That said, I installed 4gb ram upgrade on my mbp 2.4ghz 160hd 15.4 glossy, leopard, and when I go to "about this mac" it shows 2gb for memory. Sorry if this has been covered, but I need help. Yes I did check the fit, swapped them. This is what I purchased: 4gb Notebook memory
2 x 2gb 200-pin SODIMMs
DDR2 SDRAM
667MHz (PC2-5300 CL4)
Low latency 4-4-4-12
CORSAIR
Come on guys what gives? Is this normal? does not show all?
I also put 1gb (old) ram back in and yet still shows 2gb.:(

Are you sure you are correctly inserting the RAM?
Are you sure you did not damage 1 RAM slot by incorrectly inserting 1 of the sticks of RAM?
