I have two basic monitors attached to my MAC MINI (2018).

Also a projector, which is currently connected via HDMI.

someone recently gifted me with an old VGA monitor, I am thinking I could get some use out of that as well.

am trying to think of the most sensible way to connect the new (old) VGA monitor to the MAC MINI:

I wouldn't mind if the signal were split between the VGA monitor and the HDMI projector, so that the two would mirror each other. (In fact that might be preferable, but I also wouldn't mind if they were independent of each other.)

options to consider:

1. I have a USB3 hub - would it work to get a USB3 to VGA adaptor? (and then a standard VGA cable)

2. possibly use the HDMI output, and get a splitter of some kind, HDMI to HDMI & VGA?

3. possibly use one of the USBC ports, I have one free one, and get a splitter USBC to HDMI & VGA, I think such things exist.

does anybody have any thoughts? suggestions? brainstorms.

of course now it's hard to get adaptors & cables of any kind!
