I use an external VGA monitor every day at work plugged into my 12" PB via a dongle that comes with the PB. Works great. In the display setup you can drag the screen to reflect where you have the screen physically placed, and even drag the menu bar to whichever screen you want. Whenever you plug/unplug the external display, the PB automatically sorts itself out..

cool! does that mean i can plug the monitor into my pb with out turning it off? and not damage either the pb or monitor?
