I officially give up. A few days ago I stupidly installed a couple thousand new fonts all at once, which resulted in everything becoming a mess. Since then I have been trying to restore my fonts back to default, but always seem to have some sort of problem. I have done the whole use Pacificist to reinstall defaults and such and everything seemed fine until I realized all of the Google links no longer have underlines. What am I doing wrong? Why is it such a pain in the ass to restore some damn fonts on a Mac?

clone to restore from? time machine backup to roll back to?

Also, every time I do validate fonts and remove all the errors (just duplicates mostly), it messes things up even more. WHY DO YOU HATE ME FONT BOOK!?
