Another "Private Browsing" question

When using Safari in Private Browsing mode, does the browser write cache to the hard drive or does it keep everything in RAM?

If it does write to cache, is it secure?

Long story short, nothing is ever totally private. If its that big a deal, you shouldnt' be doing it on a computer.
