Another RAM question

Greetings:

I have updated my 2012 Macbook with 16 gigs of Ram. Works great!

Can I use the RAM I took out in my daughters machine. The module I took out was 1600, her machine is 1333?

I did some searches but it was unclear?

if its a sandy bridge cpu, then it should work fine. in any cases it will probably throttle down the clock speed to 1333, or it would just run at 1600. give it a try.
