In order to help my elderly father hear better when we Skype with relatives, I purchased the Apple "Lightning Digital AV Adapter" in order to hook up my iPad Pro to my TV and its surround sound system.
The cable works great with apps that play music (ie - the music plays thru the TV's surround sound speakers, as expected). However I just tested it with Skype and, although the video works on the TV, the sound still only plays thru the iPad's speakers.
Is there some setting within Skype that needs to be adjusted for the sound to be re-directed to the TV's sound system? Or, what else could be preventing Skype from behaving like other apps in this regard?
Thanks!
