Ok, my daughter just asked me if there was a name for the large oriental dragons that are often seen in parades. I don't even know how to describe them. Please, no one say, "Float!"

I'm not sure if it has a specific name, but according to wikipedia

Dragon and lion dances are common during Chinese New Year. It is believed that the loud beats of the drum and the deafening sounds of the cymbals together with the face of the dragon or lion dancing aggressively can evict bad or evil spirits

thanks
my daughter said the new stray kitty looks like one of these when scratched under the chin, so she was looking for a name
i think she'll have to figure out something else
i appreciate your help:)
