Sorry for yet another question, but here we go anyways.

so i have a 500 gb external HD i use for music. it is about 2/3 full. My regular HD is 160 and is about 40 gb full. If i go out and buy a TC, can i use that as an external hard drive as well and put my music on there, or will it only work as a backup hard drive?

Drives connected via USB to the TC can be used for backup, as a network drive, or both (like the internal drive on the TC). It will appear as a separate mountable drive to your computer from the TC drive.

You can put directories on it as if were any external, I imagine moving {move them, don't just copy over to} the iTunes directory and repointing to it would work just fine.

I have a few directories on mine that I use for exchanging files between various computers. { not sure on a mixed Windows and Mac setup however }
