Another way besides Holding Option Key during boot up

Ok is there another way to get a Mac Pro to ask which hard drive you want to boot from besides holding down the Option Key when booting?

I don't mean changing the startup disk from system preferences,
but every time the machine is booted.

Maybe a command line instruction or something?

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think there is a way to get the startup disc chooser to show at every startup.

Mac Pro's are Intel based machines. They don't use Open Firmware. The thing they use is EFI. EFI isn't as changeable or script-able as Open Firmware, so very little can be changed within EFI.
