Answering calls on MBP makes popping sound

As the title suggests, whenever I answer a call coming from my phone on my MBP, all I hear is a popping sound. Can't even hear the other person. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, has anyone found a solution?

I have a MBP late 2011 model running OS X 10.10.1 with 16GB of RAM.
