Do anti-glare screen protectors disrupt scanners from reading barcodes (such as passbook) on the iPhone's screen?

I tested out the passbook/fandango app the other day with a couple movie tickets and the scanner was unable to read it off my screen. Has anyone else had this issue?

Shouldn't.

2D-barcode scanners basically have a camera in them. So long as the barcode is readable and not too blurry, it should work fine.

Always had a SGP anti-glare protector on my 4. Just have to turn up the brightness (I guess my default is dimmer than most) for it to scan fine.
If the grain is big and coarse on the protector, then I imagine there may be a problem.
