So I bought this tool to prevent damaging my Macbook Pro when I change my RAM, HDD and optical bay with an HDD.

So how do you properly use this tool? I read that you have to plug the alligator tip to the ground prong of your electrical outlet. Is that true?

Is this worth it?

I would suggest keeping anything strapped onto yourself away from electrical outlets.
