Anti-virus for the iPhone 3G ?

So the iPHone is really a handheld computer pretty much...do we need some sort of anti-virus program similar to our desktop/laptop computers?

iPhone runs Mac OS X, no viruses for OS X (at this time)...

I've been building all my own computers for the last 8 years....
...I need to just look into a MAC next time I have to upgrade
