I prefer using subtitles on movies and TV shows, not because I´m from Sweden, but because having a 1,5 year old in the house. I cant crank the volume up to much and sometimes some dialogue can be hard to hear.
On the original ATV the softsubs was displayed very nice but the ATV2 used a differnt method from the beginning. The subs had different font sizes depending on the video resolution and aspect ratio.
On iOS 5 (or 4.3 or what the call it on the ATV2) it looks like they have added a blank line in the bottom on the image when using subs so they appear pretty high up. Watching movies in 2.35:1 shows a problem where the text is placed in the middle of the line of the bottom (hard to explain).
Anybody have any idea if there is a new "proper" way on adding softsubs to video now? I´ve been using subler to do this.
