Hello everyone,

I've read the excellent threads on this forum about the 2017 iMac and fan noise. However, I have a very specific question that someone might be able to answer for me before I drop down the money to buy a 2017 iMac myself.

For anyone with the i7 7700k / RX580 iMac, are you able to use the "ScreenFlow" app to record your screen without the fans ramping up extremely high?

For my job, I often create training videos and my microphone is only about an arms distance from where the iMac will sit. I'm worried that the mic will pick up the loud fan noises, but perhaps the i7 doesn't ramp up very high just during screen recording?

I'd like to buy the i7 model over the i5 model, but if ScreenFlow ramps up the i7 fans the i5 might be the clear choice.

I'm fine with insanely loud fan noise during the rendering of the video, just not during the recording / filming of the screen capture.

Thanks so much!
