Hey all, I've been trolling for a while and decided to finally make an account.

Are there any games in development or out there that implement 3G multiplayer functionality? The only one I have seen so far in the App Store is a poker game with mixed reviews.

Multiplayer games add such a great degree of challenge and fun to almost any game. I can't believe more developers haven't taken advantage of this yet. Have SDK restrictions been holding everyone back?

There's "Graal Zone", which apparently just went online yesterday - it's a 2D overhead "massively" multiplayer shooter. I haven't really sat down and tried it since it went online, though, so I'm not sure how good it is.

Here are two I am tracking:

Parallel Kingdoms: http://blog.parallelkingdom.com/

Dark Age of Reality: http://iphonestudio.dsmedialabs.com/projects_daor.htm

Don't know if either will release or what state they are actually in. I applied for the beta for one of them. Interestingly both have similar concepts, using GPS real world with a fantasy overlay. I'm not quite sure that is necessary or more of a gimmick, i.e. a virtual world without the GPS could be just as, if not more, engaging.
