Thin, any color, not rubber/not gel/not plastic but some sort of non sticky rubberish case. Covered 3G/S plain smooth finish minimalistic but left you with no worries of scratched due to the soft texture. Anyway I don't think anything like this is being made for the 4 yet but either way I would like to find the 3G variant so I can plan on it.

Is it the Invisibleshield? If so there is one from iPhone 4

It was an actual case. I want to say it was rubber but nothing like the lint magnet gel cases you see in most carrier stores. Still flexible but somewhat glossy? Very cool case but I am shooting in the dark trying to find it.

Search for TPU cases on ebay; there are a bazillion of them out there. Epikcases are good--all of the cutouts line up correctly and the buttons are easy to push. They also have auctions where you can get 3 or 5 cases at a time if you want a variety of colors; you just pick the colors and pay. I bought a few of theirs for my 3GS and was quite pleased with them.
