Is there any advantage or disadvantage between a 15 Pro Max 256Gb vs 1Tb (aside from storage capacity)?

For instance does the 1TB version have more RAM for instance, or faster read/write memory storage chips?

As for disadvantages, does the 1Tb use more battery power?

I’d be grateful for any insights. Thanks!

Anyone who understands how an SSD really works will know perfectly well that the greater the capacity, the faster the reading will be.

Then it would be necessary to know to what extent it is, but technically the memory should be somewhat faster.

I believe RAM is the same across the board. I doubt 1tb use more battery power than the 512 gb or the 256 gb varient.

Same RAM, no real perf difference you'd notice in day to day use unless you're routinely dumping double digit gigabytes of data back and forth.

The iPad Pros are the only ones to see RAM variations based on storage size.

Thank you. I know the higher capacity iPad Pros have more RAM, hence I was wondering whether the phones did too. But I guess not.

In past years some of the lowest capacity iPhones had worse memory mounted but no info about it this year

You’re right, in the past iPhones with larger storage had more RAM, which is why I wanted to know about this year’s phones.

As I said this year no info so far and I think we would already know if there was something like this

That’s never happened with iPhone.

Last year’s iPhone 14 Pro 128GB had roughly the same sequential read/write speeds as 1TB models. It’s random 4K read/write where it’s appreciably slower. But in most cases, users won’t notice that difference on a phone.
