Hi, new here and looking for some advice. I currently have:
1Tb time capsule
last years imac 21" with 320Gb drive
Old Apple TV with 320Gb hard drive
Iphone
2 USB 500 GB external hard drives
In my setup trying to the following:
1. I need a system in my kitchen so I can view pcitures during a party, possibly play some tunes, and my wife can look things up
2. My imac is filling up because it is synced with AppleTV which is full of kids shows and movies. AppleTV also shows pictures when in standby mode from my iMAC which works as a nice digital display.
3. Backup backup. Worried about loosing years of pictures and video on my mac
I am running out of space on my iMAC, mainly do to the movies. I thought about moving the itunes folder onto an external drive, but not sure how Apple TV will then sync with itunes and iphoto properly. Also thought about mounting a screen on the wall in the kitchen and buying a mac mini which then can also house only the itunes and leave the mac with iphone, again a sync issue with apple tv. Then I thought about just moving the imac into the kitchen.
any advice.
