I see this is on the working 6.x compatibility list:

311 tapUnlock

But I don't love the bright grey tap to unlock icon.

Does anyone know if there is a different tap to unlock that works in iOS 6.x and has the camera functionality still, but isn't quite so bright?

Thanks!

tapUnlock is the best I can find. I can't seem to find any that don't bork 'tap to answer', it's all misaligned when I get a call while locked.

Use Styleunlock. You can set it so you can tap or use gesture to unlock anywhere on the lockscreen. Then, you can display any slider unlock / camera you want.

OOH, good find, I will try it out and see how she goes. :)

I haven't tried the app you're looking for a replacement for, but sounds like you just want something that lets you tap to unlock. AndroidLock XT has that as a throw-on feature and works with iOS 6, but its main feature is a Android pattern unlock, and secondary feature is WiFi unlock. In other words, when I'm connected to my home WiFi network, I see only a Tap to Unlock. When I'm not connected to that network, I have a tap followed by an Android unlock pattern

Unfortunately it's not good for me... it's only a double-tap, not a single tap to unlock kinda thing. Boo :-( Any other ideas?

If you can tap once, quickly tapping twice is a problem? What about tap and hold option?
