any alternatives to EyeTV?

I've been using EyeTV 3.5.2 & I'm tired of it not launching to record scheduled programs & adding extra chapter markers when I export the video.

Does any one know of another program that can record TV signals & can record from my Hauppauge HD PVR? I was going to look at The Tube, but there is no trial. I don't mind paying, but I do need to check a trial version before buying.

not sure about the possibility to add extra chapter markers, but for my part the tube works pretty decent. better than eyeTV which I had before.

I use HDPVRCapture. I only do manual recordings but the software is supposed to support scheduled recordings too. You can find it here:

You link didn't lead to a trial, so I was going to e-mail their support. When I got to a page to do that, I was also presented with a download link.

I want the chapter markers I set, not any added automatically by the program. EyeTV didn't use to do it, but it has lately & I can't find a setting to turn it off.
