Any app that is similar to Windows Live Tiles?

Just curious if there is an app (non-jailbroken) out there that sorta mimics a Windows phone Live Tiles functionality? Maybe an app that you can keep open/running and would show twitter/facebook/mail/mms?
 
That's surprising that there is nothing like this in the store. I think it would be a fairly easy app to make. Kinda like Flipboard, but showing mail, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Flickr and so on.
