Any applications that can open text files in one window like tabs?

I always have multiple large text documents (.rtf) open and I'm trying to figure out the best way to keep them organized.

I'm hoping to find a program that can open the documents like tabs in internet browsers. Thank you.

When I was working I used UltraEdit. They have a Mac version now. However I'm not sure it works with .rtf files.
