I know there are a few apps that encrypt and hide sensitive information on your iphone. Maybe I'm too used to using my blackberry - but is there something out there that prompts for a password when you slide the slide over in the bottom?

If my wife loses her iPhone, I wouldn't want anyone to get access to stuff like email etc... I know my blackberry prompts me for a password after a certain timeout period, and wipes it clean with 10 bad attempts.

Can't wait to get an iPhone of my own.

Thanks in advance, and yes I searched the forums - maybe using the wrong search terms if this has been posted before.

Thanks!

You can enable a 4-number passcode after sliding to unlock, but nothing more than that.....at least that I'm aware of. This also can wipe clean after so many failed attempts I believe.

It's the same as the BB. You can set it for 1, 5, 15, 60, or 240 minutes or require it immediately. Go to Settings>General>Passcode Lock

:)

That was easy! I guess if I spent a little more time I could have figured that out.

As always thanks for the quick and accurate responses!
