I've tried a few different un-archiving apps such unrarx, unacex, The Unarchiver (which I'm currently using) but none of them AFAIK let you look at the contents of an archive and extract a single file like WinRar does on a PC.

Is there anything available for the Mac with this functionality?
 
i'm pretty sure stuffit expander does but, then again, i didn't really have time to look, but i know for a fact it unarchives .rar files.

try betterzip, i love it.

or you can try stuffit expander, i hated it.
