When I had my PC i used to use a lot of Bible programs for studying purposes, eSword was a good one, is there any good ones for the mac????

I have a few friends who really like Accordance. I've used Bibleworks on my PC, and when I called them to see if they would make a Mac version they basically said they and Accordance have an agreement not to compete on the different platforms. If you have the money and the need, I'd say spring for the Accordance.

Accordance is really good, it is VERY powerful in searches and then graphs them.

as an example you can do this search:

Love <within 4 words> Jesus

Returns:

14 hits 7 verses

Total number of verses = 7
(total number of verses displayed = 7)

love (7 total words)

love = 7
G0025 agapao ajgapa¿w = 2
G0026 agape ajga¿ph = 3
G5368 phileo file÷w = 2

jesus (7 total words)

Jesus = 7
G2424 Iesous ∆Ihsouvß = 7

Total Hits per
Hits 1000 words

Matthew-
Luke 0 0.00

John 2 0.09

Acts-
Romans 0 0.00

1Corinthians 2 0.18

2Corinthians 2 0.28

Galatians 0 0.00

Ephesians 4 1.12

Philippians 0 0.00

Colossians 2 0.85

1Thessalonians-
2Peter 0 0.00

1John 2 0.67

2John-
Revelation 0 0.00

Which will return every scripture that has love within 4 words of Jesus.

The kewl thing about it is that the searches are preset so you can either navigate to them or you can shortcut to them.

It is expensive, but they have a great upgrade path where they give you full credit for your previous purchase to the next level.

I started out with the intro level, quickly went to standard and then almost a year later went to premiere

There's also a product available called Quickverse (for the Mac) which is also affordable (actually more affordable than many other PC apps). They have a product called the White Box (sells for under $100) and another called Black Box (sells for under $200). Take a look on eBay for them. They recently updated the app (i have the older version and it works great).
