Any Birdwatchers ?

Any bird watchers here ?

I opened my front door and saw this little bird just sitting on my porch. I tried to gently pick it up but it freaked out and flapped it's wings but stayed put.

I think it might be injured.
It looks like a sparrow but I've never seen a blue sparrow.


Any thoughts ? I don't want to see a little bird die at my front door.

Do you have a raptor center or similar in your area? They might be able to help you determine what type of bird s/he is and perhaps recommend a center/ shelter that can perhaps rehabilitate sh/im.

thanks Nathan. It turns out this little guy was simply resting on my front step. He may have flown into the window or something. But he drank some of the water I left for him then flew off after taking a crap on my step LOL.

Kinda cool though to see a little sparrow sitting on my step in the morning.
