Just ordered the I7 as was wondering if there might be some memory specials on Black Friday from companies other than Apple? New to Apple so I don't know what vendors usually carry Imac memory.

One of the best kept secrets is that Apple builds their computers with the same off-the-shelf parts as everyone else... Even when they were using PowerPC chips, you could usually get away with slapping PC parts like RAM and HDs in there successfully, provided you were cognizant of things like latency and timings...
For the new iMacs, they take 1066MHz DDR3 So-DIMMs. So you can go into any PC shop or BestBuy and say "I have a computer that needs 1066MHz DDR3 SO-DIMM RAM, what have you got for me?" ... That it's for a Mac doens't really need to come into it... Don't let "the man" fool you with "Made for Mac(tm)" branded RAM that costs 2x more than the regular stuff - espcially for i5 and i7 where the memory controller is on the Intel CPU itself.
