Any Canadians buy an iPhone in the US?

I live in Canada, very close to the US. Also, very close to an Apple store. It's actually closer than the one in Toronto.

Anyway, have any Canadians bought an iPhone in the US? What do you have to say to get an iPhone without an AT&T contract? Will they give me trouble for being a Canadian?

iPhones are not activated in the store anyways, so as long as you have a credit card to buy the iPhone with they don't care.
