With an impending tablet that may be in the $500-$600 range after subsidization, do you think there's any chance Apple knocks the Touch prices down a bit so as to distance the two product lines?

Seems plausible, but I can only see this happening if the tablet costs no more than $600.

i would assume the new tablet would be at least $1,000. and no, work for your money, and buy the ipod. apple's not going to lower the price for one person. we had to pay that price, and so do u.

I'm not asking for personal purchasing reasons. I have a marketing degree and these things intrigue me. No way is it $1,000. That would cannibalize MacBook sales.

Thanks for the advice.
