Just wondering if there is any news of a possible CPU bump coming?
With the latest 8th Gen Core chips it would be a nice boost in the 13 inch with the new four core chips.

It looks like Intel will not have the quad core chips of the type the MacBook Pro 13" uses out until sometime in 2018. The lower end units are out now and these are used in other laptops.

So best guess for a processor upgrade is 2018. My two cents is sometime in the Spring

I thought the 13” still used the low power ‘U’ chips?
They are appearing in the XPS13 which is usually seen as a direct competitor.
Just the 15 that had the ‘full’ chips for want of a better description.

That is the 15W variant. The 13" MBPs use a 15W variant for the NTB version, and a 28 W variant for the TB variant. Also, I believe the variant of the processor in the XPS uses has a lower performance iGPU than either variant of the 2017 MBP 13".

Thanks, yes you are right.
After I did a bit more digging, I realised the currently available new chips do not have the Iris graphics (or current equivalent).
