So I remember when I pre ordered my iPhone 4 two years ago, I received it by FedEx a day earlier than the official release day. Is there any chance of this happening with the iPhone 5?

Apple know what they're doing. They've sent it to few guys so they can post videos to YouTube and play with our imagination and desire. It is almost like a hipnosys, thus many people will go on Friday and have one in Apple Store. (I'll be one amongst them)

I know my UPS and FedEx guy and they both claim they will be sharing the deliveries of the iPhone 5 on Friday. These devices will be under lock and key until they are put on the truck on Friday morning, the day of delivery.

This make it highly unlikely anyone will get their phone early.
