I am thinking about getting an OWC 4M2 enclosure for 4 PCIe SSD in RAID0 configuration. Now the TB5 equipped Macs make me wonder if I should postpone the purchase to wait for something like that but with TB5 speed. I will soon have a new M4 (Pro or Max) Mac, so I can take advantage of such a fast enclosure. Any insights about this? Or there already exists a similar PCIe SSD enclosure in TB5?

No, you will not see an enclosure for a bit of time from any vendor. There is nothing on the market.

We have some great stuff coming in 2025, but that is all I can say about that. You can always go with a 4m2 and then upgrade when/if such a product comes out. Since the SSDs are in a software based RAID, you can easily swap them and your array will continue to work.
