I'm using this and an OEM cable. Perfect!

If anybody drives an MB C300/C350/C63, you can close the sliding door over the cigarette tray and lighter with this still in. Very convenient.

I walked into Walgreen the other day and they had this (checkout) jar with multi-colored, anything u want charger for $3-$5(?) bux.

U supply cable.

BTW, a iP5 car charger is same as a IP4 charger etc. The USB connection gives u 5 volts, so as long as u have the correct cable, am guessing u can get these things at the flea market for a buck or less.

No, I meant when it is plugged in to the lighter socket, the top does not protrude much.

I got the Griffin at Best Buy. Ordinarily I would never buy a brand name cable; I'd get the cheapo Chinese ones and hope. But that cable is excellent. it's dedicated (ie you can't plug another USB cable in it), I like the coiled cable, and most importantly, the business end is very heavily attached AND it will fit in my Lifeproof case. It's a keeper.

this is not correct. all usb chargers aren't the same. you need a 2 amp charger for the iphone 5 otherwise your phone will take forever to charge

OP is asking for a CAR charger, not a wall charger. READ.

Do you really need 2 amps for the iPhone? I thought that was for the iPad?
