I'm want to buy a colour laserprinter for home use. I have been looking at the cheaper end of the price range - 200 - 250 UK£. I can't find a comprehensive comparison and they all have different specs. What do would you recommed. Is 'Postcript' still important for text?

i would suggest the Samsung CLP-300.
you've got to be careful cause not all printer will work on Mac. i almost accidentally bought a HP 1600 last month.

Sorry, but I vote against Samsung color lasers -- and this comes from suffering with one for nearly two years now, every day wishing I'd bought something else. Their Mac support is marginal at best, and that's only the start of my complaints.

Dell makes a couple that get great reviews and say they have Mac support (not all theirs seem to though)- I've been looking casually but will probably get one soonish, not sure about the price in UKP though.
