I'm contemplating whether to buy the 6.1" iPhone this year. However, the biggest bummer seems to be the lack of a second lens, which means no portrait photos.

Google Pixel supports killer portrait photos with a single lens, so obviously it's possible, although much more computation is required to do it in software rather than in hardware.

Is there any good app on iOS for this? It has to be as good, or almost as good, as the 2017 X if I will do the downgrade. I tried to download a bunch of apps in the store, but they either sucked, or were optimized to human faces. Unfortunately, most of the times I use portrait photo is of my dog..
