Any difference in audio quality between the Soundstick I and II?

I know there's some subtle differences between the HK Soundstick version I & II, but I was wondering if there's actually any difference in audio quality between the two? Or is it simply cosmetic/feature differences?

I would say there's a difference. The first gen sounds very muddy and feels like it's missing a lot of the mid frequencies, whereas the second gen is noticeably better in both areas.
