i'm selling my 2011 mbp tomorrow and plan to order the apple refurb 2011 for $929. i will be using it mainly for word, email, surfing, entertainment -- internet radio, streaming online movies, iPhoto etc. i already have an ipad3 and a mac mini.

If that's all you're using it for, then you should be fine.
