I preordered an iPod touch the night of the event, and my iPod touch has not shipped yet! The status only says "Not Yet Shipped"

Mine is shipping, straight from china. It's in Anchorage AK right now. I'm just sending it back though, I bought mine last fri a best buy.

BTW, I thought apple was going green, what are they doing in China then.

Yeah, I would have bought mine at an Apple Store or Best Buy here, but the ones I went to yesterday did not have them in stock. Oh well...

To wait for my engraved preorder or to hunt down one at a store here, that is the question... What would any of you do?

Answered my own question... Called the Apple Store at Tysons Corner a few minutes after 2 PM, found out they were in stock, and raced over there... And now I have my iPod touch!!!

I actually ordeded two of them and called Apple this morning and indicated that I could go to either of the Apple stores and pick one up. They upgraded me to overnight shipping and gave me $50 off each Touch. Not bad, though I hope it arrives soon.

Kmlwx, when I went last week for my iPod touch, they had a whole drawer full of 'em.

My advice to you - after calling that location several times to figure this all out - is to call a few minutes after 2 PM. That's apparently when their shipments arrive. They told me they couldn't hold my iPod touch, but they had enough to go around.

apple786, that's great! I wonder if I could call Apple and get a discount on the iPod touch I bought in store... I'm guessing not, as I canceled the online order immediately (in the store on one of the display iMacs) after buying my iPod touch.
