I was looking at XLR8's website today and stumbled across a G4/366 ZIF upgrade for Beige & B&W G3's for the massive sum of $79. About the only info I could find on it was three or four entries in xlr8yourmac.com's database. Most of these folks were able to squeeze the thing to over 400mhz, and one person had it running @ 458mhz (on an 83mhz bus), although I'm sure this isn't a typical result.
Anyone here have any first-hand experience with one of these little gems? If it is indeed possible to get above 400mhz with one of these, it seems like this upgrade has more bang for the buck than the OWC G4/450-500mhz for $138.
