Any experience with alternatives to Apple HDMI out?

I'm just wondering bout any of the less expensive alternatives to the Apple connector since I don't really care about the charging feature.

They all seem to have mixed reviews.

Any comments?

Why wouldn't you care about the charging feature, last thing you'd want is your iPad to die on you while mirroring it over HDMI. If it's already plugged into one hardwire, whats one more?
