iPhone 12 Any experience with in-store trade in - how long credit takes?

Traded in my iphone pro for 450 towards a new phone. Was told in store the refund would go to my apple cash within 24 hours. So far nothing. Though they HAVE managed to charge my apple credit card and sent the 3% reward from the purchase to my apple cash.

Should I be concerned that they have not sent the 450$ credit? Anyone have experience with in-store trade ins who can chime in? Im wondering if I should head to the store (would rather not) and speak to the manager.

Also check your statement? with the trade in credits,, it's that amount refunded to your actual card you used.

I could be totally wrong here but I don't think a credit is ever given for applecash. Its always either credited towards your purchased or you can receive an Apple gift card. Giving Apple Case is essentially Apple giving you cash for the phone, which they never do. Its always in the method of credit towards purchase or gift card.

Again, that was always my understanding of it but I could be incorrect.

Sounds like your first time ever buying anything and getting a return, relax it will come.

I did an exchange today. Apple refunded my online order on a Graphite 12 Pro Max. They told I had to return my online order separately which would take 5 business days to reflect a credit to my visa. I paid for the Pacific Blue 12 Pro Max on a separate transaction same Visa card.

The Apple store wouldn't take your trade in from an online order? My experience with return of online orders is a 2 week wait to get the credit back on my Apple Card. I was going to drive 50 miles to an Apple Store to return & trade in the latest!

Thanks.... My bank will usually take 3 days including weekends to receive any credit from a return. I'll monitor my visa and re=post how long it took Apple to credit my account. I'm expecting a credit from Apple on Dec 1st. based on experience from different vendors I do online shopping with. But we'll see....

Quick question. I traded my 11 pro max in on my 12 pro max. The 11 was on the IUP, so I obviously cancelled that and the Applecare+.
I sent my 11 in via post and just got an email today saying the agreed value would be refunded on the original payment method. Problem is, that was the Barclays loan for the IUP, which is now closed.

Has anyone else been in this situation? Any idea how the money will be paid to me?

I traded in 2 - 8+s and got the $210.00 credit off the the bill for each at time of purchase.
12 mini, 12 (I paid in full at the Apple store)

If you have receipt, it should be fine. Last time, I waited for two weeks without a receipt. Customer service just told me it might take up to 2 weeks. after two weeks, nothing happened. no one could find the transaction. I went to the store, they used the camera and determined I wasn’t lying...took another week of investigation to get my money.
