I would like to hear from anyone who might have some experience with MCETechnology's SSD replacement for 2014 MBAs. I think apple used the same custom connector for Late 2013-Early 2015 models. I purchased the OWC drive, but it seems to run hot and a bit slower than OEM drive. Not to mention, no TRIM support, though OWC claims a controller on the drive performs TRIM internally. They also claim the heat should settle down after the drive is done indexing, but I do not believe the drive is still indexing 3 days after a fresh install of macOS.

This drive is for a computer which had the original ssd fail. Original ssd was of the 128gb variety and customers budget only allows a capacity upgrade to 256gb.

Here is a link to the MCETechnology SSD--->MCETech 256gb SSD

For Reference, here is the OWC Aura SSD---->OWC 240gb Aura
