Any filmmakers here explored iPhone/mobile video production yet?

I do video production professionally. One of the hottest and fastest-growing trends in the industry lately is mobile video production, mainly shooting with iPhones.

I'm thinking about giving it a go with the iPhone 6. There are some good products out there that make video shot with the iphone on par with some high-end dslr cameras.

Any filmmakers here already doing this. Any tips?

But what benefits are there to film with an iPhone? Only time I'd see it a benefit is if there is something out of the blue you wanted to record and the iPhone was the only recording device you had on you. Yes it's also nice to being able to edit and upload the video from the same device. But audio/video quality as much it has improved on smartphones, still ultimately pales in comparison to dedicated video cameras. Unless you're looking to advertise for Apple by saying you recorded/edited it all on the iPhone, I just fail to see reason to bother.
