Hey all,

Is there any home made fix (until apple releases an update) that will enable the ATI graphics card (1gb card) when the laptop comes back from sleep? It's getting annoying having to reboot each and every time.

gfxcardstatus shows the laptop is using the discreet graphics, but I can tell you for sure it's not. Slowness in games and firefox typing that isn't present unless the mac goes to sleep, then wakes up.

I had the same issue on my 15" 2.3 MBP and it's behaving as expected now.

The fix involved going into the Energy Saver System Preference and unchecking the "Automatic Graphics Switching" option. While I'm using more power – I'm not stumbling in WOW after system sleep like a drunk guy.

I do hope that 10.6.7 includes a fix, as it'd be nice to have the switching work as designed.
