I've been using a PS3 for my gaming and video streaming. I started off using MediaLink, then recently switched to using PS3 Media Server, a better (in my opinion) free alternative. I'm getting a 360 so that I can join the Rock Band Network and work with a few bands to get their songs in RB2. I was thinking that I'd like to stream media to the 360 as well, maybe seeing which system works better for me, etc. I'm assuming Connect360 works like MediaLink. But are there any free alternatives? Anything similar to PS3 Media Server?

Not sure if there is a free alternative, but there is Rivet. If I didn't have a license for Connect360 already, I would switch to Rivet in a heartbeat.

I have yet to find a free alternative to Connect360. But like creator2456 said, Rivet is better.

The only other way to get media on your 360 is to plug directly into it.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_0_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7A400 Safari/528.16)

I refuse to install Vuze, so that's out.

Rivet looks like it works with PS3 also? I can use a single app for both then. Too bad I already bought MediaLink, lol.
