Any (Free if poss) to compare 2 folders, then merge them?

I want a program for Mac to be able to compare 2 folders (one on iMac, another over network), to show me the differences, and then copy/merge the 2 folders.

I used to have a few programs for WinXP that did this fine, cant seem to find it on Mac. free preferably, but dont mind paying a little, but not too much as I wont use it that much really anyway

thanks for the links but a lot of them are very old, and use scripts and terminal etc, something I dont want to use. The program wrote by someone is from March 2008, so may not be Snow leopard compatible etc.

I was hoping for a more upto date one, and a GUI one to
