I think the Eastern Dawgs have seen a few seasons turn disappointing and underachieving as well. However, if the Goliath of the East is to be defeated, this would be a prime year. They lost a lot of people not named Tim Tebow, especially on defense and o-line. Even with all that said, I just hope they don't beat us down too badly when we visit them. They may be down, but it is still the Swamp.
Anyway, I don't get why the Chickens aren't more successful. I don't know if they just aren't getting the talent, if the ole' ball coach has lost his touch, or what. They have great support from the fans. They fill up that stadium regardless of how badly the team is doing. I wish we could say the same. If they can find a running game and Stephen Garcia can be a bit more consistent, they can be a threat. Ellis Johnson is a great defensive coordinator. Heck, he and our defense dragged our sorry team to 7 wins and a bowl win in 2007, despite having one of the worst offenses in the country.
